Broad beans
Is it recommended to pinch out the growing tips of broad beans? Hi Russell, only when they are fully grown (ie about 3-4ft tall) and that is only to prevent blackfly infestation.  I usually wait until one plant has a sign of blackfly, then pinch out by Russell Parry

Hi Guys, Last year I collected seeds of my runnner/french bean plants. The seeds have been kept in a brown paper bag to keep the moisture out. I've grown beans for year's but is it to early to sow them yet? If so, when will I be able to sow them by Lalat

I planted my runner beans back in May and after a very tramatic start thanks to the slugs eating them they have grown really well and are really lush.  I have beans on them that are about 4 inches long and a lot more coming too. As this is my first by flowergirl4
