Non climbing beans
I bought a packet of Thompson & Morgan climbing beans 'Fasoid' but they are just growing straight up and not climbing up the cane obelisk I made. I've tried tying them to the sticks but they just grow up and don't curl round it like my runners by diggingdoris

Strange broad bean
Spot the odd one out! One of my broad beans has come up yellow rather than green. I'll grow it on to see what becomes of it but has anyone else ever had this happen?     The odd seed of anything can do this - it's a genetic mutation and may mean by steephill

planting out runner beans
Hi there, I just wondered whether anyone could tell me, whether it would be alright to plant out my runner beans soon, as they are beginning to take over my window sill, and Tilly the terrier is getting a little bit keen to get back on her window by artychris

planting broad beans
hi, I have planted broad beans for a while now but consistently suffer from 'misses'. Is there a correct position for the seed when planting to achieve a higher success rate, for example vertical, horizontal, flat etc? No, it doesn't matter exactly by Colrice

Runner/Dwarf Beans
My runner and dwarf beans that I planted in pots in my conservatory recently are now about 4-5 inches high. I would like to harden them off in a mini -greenhouse. Would it be ok to put them out now? Minimum night time temperatures in my area have by John King
