I know the usual advice is to nip out runner beans when they reach the top of their support. Well, mine have - but the constant rain means they have grown at an alarming rate - but there are very few flowers. I'm tempted to let them just "hang down by Berkley

How early can I plant out runner beans?
This isn't me getting too overexcited at the first prospects of spring, more that I may have planted my runner beans a bit too early. They're indoors, in 3" pots, but they're about 20-30cm tall already and the roots are beginning to creep out by Bf206

What's eating my beans, fennel...and well everything now!
Please help, some thing has been eating my runner and french beans and now has moved onto my fennel. I am new to gardening and these are all patio pot plants. At first, big chunks of leaves were being eaten and I thought this was just slug damage so by ellie8

Disease and composting
My broad beans firstĀ  got brown spotted leaves and then the stalks and lower pods went black . 1. What disease have they got? and 2. Should I compost the stalks or will it leave disease in my compost? Thank you for any advice. by janebal
