Talkback: Growing asparagus
I have just this year created an asparagus bed myself. I have always loved the taste of the luxurious vegetable but have in the past been put off by how long you have to wait for the "pay off". But they are in now and the wispy fronds are still by happymarion

Talkback: Pumpkins for Halloween
Went for a brilliant trip to the Savill Gardens and loved their display of pumpkins and squash. I have grown many varieties over the years but have decided that next year I'm going to grow enough to make a display that will be worth walking along by Ag Spray

Heathers
the containers the hebe, arboreal heather and ivy will be reused in the garden could I pop the heathers in a shady bed where I keep ferns? or would they be better in pots? would they need ericaceous compost? I have always just used them as temporary fillers by Cheerypeabrain

Snowdrops
I have masses of Snowdrops that are wonderful when in full flower but now they are fading fast and I'd like to plant other things in the bed. Problem is, the Snowdrop leaves cover so much ground but I am unsure whether it's correct to chop them off by Whippet

Tatton park any good
displays are usually excellent too. Bedding plant displays/gardens from local authorities. Country Living pavillion too for those more interested in foods, pictures, jewelry etc etc. Am on the look out for a soil coloured sunhat! Flower arranging displays by pavery026
