Planting scheme....
I'm planning to dig up my front lawn and replace with raised beds and gravel paths in between. The raised beds will be 1.5m x 1.5m and I'll have six of them. I want to plant up the beds with perennials and have a succession of plants that flower by Tim Burr

and not a regimented display as seen in council flower beds, leave them alone for the insects who love them and the birds will take care of your greenfly. Shame on you Gardener's World for suggesting poisons are the answer! Another dandelion fan here by bushybushkins

a rather fair-weather gardener, so I don't dig empty beds over for the sake of it. But I did my back in this year leaving me out of action for a couple of weeks - that was from digging up roots & weeding to prepare a bed and that pain & helplessness by Baloo66

Redesign of garden
anyone else done this? Would you recommend it? Kategardenersworld.com web team Hi kate My garden is slightly bigger.  Rather than a circular lawn I have a stone pavior circle with wide beds around it (so plants can 'flop' onto the circle).  Just off by Kate Bradbury

My snowdrops loved being under the snow, Pippa, and are giving a lovely display already. I reckon they are three weeks early. In my woodland garden crocosmia is up about two inches and the bluebells an inch. The cold weather is set to return by Flowers

Windows, the door and the roof vent are open in my conservatory as well as the connecting double doors to the lounge. The plants of salvias, cosmos and nicotiana which I've grown from seed for the front garden display are in pots lined up by scruff
