grass cutting and bees
i have been planting wild flowers for bees for the last 4 years but this year I went even further by not cutting the grass.We are so keen on short lawns that we deprive the bees of primary foods ,dandelions,butter cups and the most important wild by gabrielle sintes

Bees caught in fleece

Thousands of bees on allotment
Myself and my adjacent plotholder have a problem with what we think are solitary or burrowing bees.  We had a few this time last year but this year we have thousands.  Although they do not seem aggressive, and we know they are beneficial insects by Bath Bun

Bee friendly plants for hanging baskets

Bees setting up home in my garden....
Yesterday i noticed a few bees flying down to near where i was sat and going under my patio.  They appeared to have dug themselves a tunnel and setting up home.  I've only seen upto 3 bees at once so the colony may not be big but they keep coming by Bagz
