Leeks
My leeks are suffering from an attack of reddish/brown beetles 3mmx1mm give or take, they tunnel into the top one or two layers working downwards, if I remove these layers the leeks are perfectly viable and very tasty. I have gone through my by Ken Smith

Cinara Picea
Hi , I have an infestation of (I've just found out the name)  Cinara Picea on my spruce tree they are multiplying by the day. They look like very small beetles but are in fact Aphids . Has anybody any ideas on the best way to get rid of them ,they by James W

Talkback: Turkscap lilies
Is there any sign that the Lily beetles are finding their way to the lillies by smell? I wondered if it might be worth-while crushing up something that smells a bit bad and spraying them with that - Garlic or Euphorbia perhaps, but I'm not sure what by www.alittlesliceofeden.blogspot.com

Problem
pest called viburnum leaf beetle which has recently arrived from the continent, I think. The larvae hatch in May and start eating leaves. Spray in May with a chemical bug killer to kill larvae while young and cut off and burn affected leaves by Barbara Stevenson

LILY BULBS
I have had problems with the dreaded Lily beetle this year so I want to lift them and plant them under cover for next year. As I would like to plant something else I would like to do this ASAP. Do I treat than like spring bulbs and feed them by lindapalmara

Plum tree with dying leaves
.  So I asked at a local nursery, showed them a photo of the trunk and leaves.  Some say a plum tree usually only lives about 20 years and that it's "done", some say I had beetles (because there were a few little sap bubbles on the main trunk) and now I by Jamie Lloyd
