Plants
Hi I have had Begonias tubers in the greenhouse since March and so far no sign of growth coming onto them. Can anyone give me advise on what to do. Cogie They need warmth to put up shoots, so you might like  to move them somewhere warmer. However by COGIE

Anyone know what plant this is?
I want to suggest begonia, is it in a pot? It's begonia semperflorens or bedding begonia, an annual bedding/pot plant.  It looks a bit lonely, by Metrat

Hanging baskets in shade
. Any suggestions would be really appreciated.   How about hanging fuchsias and or begonias, they both like shade but can put up with a bit of sun in the evenings. This might give you some ideas: http by nicwills

nipping out young plants
to begonias? Any help greatfully received Bev it depends on how the plant is growing, if it looks bushy enough then dont bother but always be careful to allow the plant to reach a decent size before you nip out the growing tip, and try to pot on the growing by Bev Pounsett-Krynauw

Plant for tub under carport - light but no sun
begonias grow in shade. If green then hostas, Brunnera Jack Frost; if purple, I have a heuchera Plum Pudding in a pot in shade, perhaps other varieties of heuchera as well. Hosta would be a good idea, and I could keep an eye out for slugs !! I will have by Mari Williams

Hanging basket in shade
The front of our house faces north so has any one planted up a hanging basket in this position.  The sun only reaches the front in the very late afternoon.  Any ideas?  Busy lizzies and begonias do fine, as will ivy-leaf geraniums if you plant two by Forester2
