Hanging basket in shade
The front of our house faces north so has any one planted up a hanging basket in this position.  The sun only reaches the front in the very late afternoon.  Any ideas?  Busy lizzies and begonias do fine, as will ivy-leaf geraniums if you plant two by Forester2

When do you bring your tender perennials inside?
I was wondering when others bring their tender perennials into the greenhouse?  Right now my begonias, fuscias and verbena bonariensis are still flowering outside, and my dahlias are just starting to flower(!).  But I'm worried about the weather by PurplePoppy

Help please - what can I plant?

it Thanks for any help Could it be some sort of begonia or pelargonium? I am wondering if it is sweet violet, which has heart-shaped downy leaves. Maybe stachys lanata? It has sort of nettle- like flower spikes. Clary sage ? by hollie hock

Plants or flowers from seed
perennials or annuals or don't you mind? If it's in shade and you want annuals in tubs that narrows the choice, but "Busy-Lizzies" (Impatiens) are a classic for that situation. Bedding begonias, violas and pansies as well. I get mine as plug plants, but you by bunnysgarden

overwintering
which were in the garden, around after first frost i dug up ,when they dried out placed in a box with shavings along with begonia corms, keeps them dry will replant april. by willowplanter
