Summer and Winter Planting Advice
seasons, the winter bulbs will be fine but I would replace the meadow flowers with summer bedding, probably pelargoniums or begonias that need limited watering. I would then buy pansies/violas to replace the bedding in September to go through till by richard morrell

Free Poppies
, the magazine suggests putting hessian as a pot liner.  Seems a good idea - I assume worth doing for all pots? Thanks! My poppies never seem to last for long so I would be looking for something long flowering to go with them. I would suggest begonias by Supernoodle

First new year resolution for 2014
to the limits of his patience but because of this I put 108 begonia plug plants in the unheated greenhouse under fleece.  Just been to check them and 34 have rotted away so have not saved any money just wasted it.  Trouble is, I love planting plug plants by break23

have I killed my wisteria?
have recently bought some trailing begonia tubers for pots and baskets but don't know the best time to plant them. I live in east sussex. I have 2 lovely wisteria plants in the garden, well they WERE beautiful. Masses of buds appeared as usual a few by cloud8

Hanging baskets and window boxes
about edible plants: Nasturtiums, cucumbers, peppers, chillis, courgettes, tumbling tomatoes, chives etc? There are those lovely begonias that have small flowers - can't remember the variety at moment, but I'm going to have a go with them this year by obelixx

position throughout the seasons to compare. if bulbs planted late did not flower will they be ok for next year or should I bin them Ta muchly Not exactly bulbs, but I'm desperately trying to find a source of what I remember as begonia islandii; a by Lainey

Impatiens
in the conservatory, where they are stil blooming, I bought some New guinea plugs from which I have now got loads of cuttings. I am going to try growing impatiens and begonia from my own seed this year has anybody got tips/ do's and dont's Hiya lyn. Do you take new by Verdun

hanging baskets
hi all I have some surfinias and begonia million kisses and I would like to know how many to plant in 14inch baskets. Wire or wicker ?  I just cram in as many as possible and always use water retaining gel to help them from drying out . The more by potteries phil
