Plant Identification help please
has foxglove type leaves, but I am pretty sure it is not a foxglove. It has tiny blue flowers which are just coming out now. It too is invasive and pops up all over the garden.       Anyone with any ideas? The first one "looks like" bindweed by Rainwater Fanatic

Talkback: Weed of the year 2008
Well I'm new to allotmenteering this year and I'm loving it. The weeds were 5 feet high when we took over the plot in July, but we've managed to clear most of them now. The worst were probably the bindweed with their brittle white roots which by green eyed pea

getting rid of ground elder
combination of digging it out, waiting for it to reappear and then BRAMBLE KILLER. Had to do that 2 years running, but haven't seen any in 5 years now. I personally find bindweed and brambles harder to get rid of, and more unsightly too. thank you i thought by little-ann

Couch grass
really deep like bindweed, so a 6" (15cm) deep barrier would probably be enough, or 12" (30cm) to be sure, especially light soils. Cheers Bob, soils been well dug over, found some over 12" down but seems to have died,(black and weak), just want to force by pash

Composting
I had two composting boxes built a couple of years ago in an area of the garden that was thick with bindweed and ground elder and subsequently the bases of the boxes are sitting on several layers of thick membrane. I have covered to tops by Big Pete

Weeds from next door
I have an antisocial neighbour that has lived there several years.  They are unapproachable and live in a hovel. I have nettles and bindweed invading my flower border.  I try to pull up what I can, but there is a network of spaghetti roots by ClaireCat

plant invasion
seed drop inside the hob,a mystery. Or, worse case scenario, it could even be Dry rot. That produces long white filaments which spread everywhere. are there any green bits? Hope so, it won't be dry rot if there are. Bindweed will do that as flowering by joanne ahne

Talkback: To spray, or not to spray?
