The wrong kind of birds
There is a large rookery at this end of the village.  The noise of them nesting I can (just about) cope with, but they raid the bird feeders.  They cannot perch on the seed feeders, but they try, flap wildly and do their best to break them by Shrinking Violet

Bird feeders causing weeds?
We have a bird feeder station tucked into the corner of one of our beds. I fill this with peanuts, fat balls and BIRD SEED. In the surrounding area underneath a type of grass has started growing in the bed. I assumed it was dreaded couch grass by Surbiton_Margot

Making Bird Nest Boxes from Recycled Materials.
A very easy method of recycled wire mesh makes an ideal bird nesting box for all types of garden birds, mainly the tits, wrens, flycatchers and robins, to name but a few. If you have or find a piece of old mesh large enough to go round a large by Malcar
