bird feeders
I have, for many years, made fat balls for the many little birds which come to our garden.  This was great, until the squirrels and magpies found them, and then it became impossible, because a) they ate them all in ten minutes and b) the little by Bookertoo

bird box
It's about 1.8m up from the ground, north facing, very protected with a bambooo growing over the opening and a mature ceanotus arching over it.  Crab apple in front which birds often hop onto. Many blue tits, sparrows, robins and wrens in our garden by Jess is in the Garden

Bird box v bird feeding
Small garden. Only 10 metres by 12 metres. I've got a feeding station for birds. I get quite a lot of visitors during the day - sparrows, starlings, tits, robins, blackbirds, pigeons and magpies (annoyingly!). I've been given a sparrow terrace by Tim Burr

Bird Boxes

Talkback: Birds - install a window bird feeder
feeder on the office window for about 3 weeks. the birds refuse to use it. They still visit the bird table close by and the robins come to the window sill-we even had a blue tit in the office. Any idea what I can put there to encouage them? Currently by margarita21
