small bird watch
I'm sitting here in my office watching great tits going in and out of a bay bush. I reckon they're thinking about nesting. They might be in for a bit of a shock over the next few days Small birds in my garden have been getting very busy too by nutcutlet

Talkback: Bird watching
We feed the birds regularly and are rewarded as we frequently see Blue, Great, Coal & Longtail tits along with all the other usual birds. Last year we put out a niger seed feeder and this attracts Goldfinches, we were very pleased when on Christmas by Tommy

Talkback: Feeding the birds
I think its ok to feed the birds cause if we dont and they die we wont have any at all if its a bad or wet winter,ok we dont know if it is junk food but what is the alternative ? birds adapt to different food, and it isnt really long till spring so by hereisabee

Encouraging birds to the garden
Does anyone have any advice on shrubs or trees to plant that will encourage birds please?  I have a smallish garden so would need things that grow tall rather than wide and also I have two ferocious cats so I need somewhere for the birds to safely by cloud8

Talkback: Feeding birds in summer
I feed the birds a variety of food - mixed wild bird seed, peanuts late in the season when the babies have grown up and mixed seed plus mealworms. I also give them leftovers with home made wholewheat bread mixed with cooked pasta and grated cheese by midgelet

Talkback: Feeding the birds
Poor little mouse. The profusion of ctas in my areas bugs the life out of me. Endless destruction of borders, faeces in the soil, dead birds. I cannot fathom why people (especially wildlife enthusiasts!!) keep these dreadful animals as house pets by Grannyanne
