Talkback: Birds, wasps and fruit
to cut the flowers heads down once they had finished flowering. Plus, when I walked up the garden the smell of lavender was wonderful, having been released by the birds breaking open the flowers to get to the seeds. It is possible to cut the flowers by jollysue

Cat/Bird and Wildlife friendly garden

They are at it again - more flipping bird food....
taking bits and bobs. So, I guess it's off to the supermarket for more bird food then.......... I cant keep up with the bird food. They say sparrows are in decline...not in my garden they're not. Love 'em. My sparrows chuck more seed on the ground by Robot

When to net blackcurrant bushes against birds?
of blackcurrants. I was surprised to see this blue tit take an interest, but now I'm wondering, should I be netting the bushes against birds this early? I'd assumed I'd do that when there were fruit. I am a total beginner with blackcurrants so would appreciate some by buddha
