Spring -summer
year round nectar bar but late spring/early summer will be a bit of a gap. I'm planning to get apple cordons which would flower in spring, and possibly bird's foot trefoil and snakeshead fritillary for the lawn, when we've laid it.  Songs lovely by Bunny..

late start,more advice please!!
April.  Winter will be late leaving us this year, keep on with the digging, as you will expose lots of pests eggs, such as slugs, which the birds will eat.  Digging when frost is due is also a good idea, as it helps to split the bigger clods of earth by geg jones

WEATHER this week
a covering of  snow overnight.  Hope I have spoken too soon! Bitterly cold wind here today, about 2 inches of snow overnight and very cold.   Poor birds desperately looking for food again.  Come on spring, hurry up, thought you were here last week by Brumbull

Fully Shaded Border, need help please

Aldi garden stuff
!)  They do have 10% off everything this weekend, though, so only need to add on 10%, Poundstretcher also really good for bulbs, seeds and solar lights, as well as bird seed and fat balls/cake.  My local one not very big, so tend not to stock pots and shuttle by nutcutlet

Lost and found in your garden
of my Babbington Leeks that I thought the birds eat has also poped up. Quite please with this. Hi swed boy, I have been out in our flat gardens today and been pottering around, loved it, some plants had died but one of my primroses was in full boom, last by Swedboy

Moving Garlic On
'm not sure if they have any 'predators' I get a lot of birds in my garden, big ones, wood pigeons and pheasants will they pull them up? I can put them in my fruit cage with fruit bushes and shallots if that will be better. Just looking for a little advice by saltski

Dragon claw willow
electricity distribution board came looking for the causes of a power cut.   Two bird sown willows on the edge of my land had been blowing around in the gales and caused overhead cables to short.  They decapitated my Dragon's Claw too as a preventive measure by Bushy 77

Weeds in compost bin?
to the touch? then you can use the compost after six to eight months.We will never erradicate weeds, they blow about, birds drop them and they can sleep in the soil for years then soil disturbance will set them off.My compost bins are home made and large by LavenderLois

Why May?
at the top end of the garden. My Lawsonia's with their evergreen "Fir" coats one golden the other vibrant green standing like sentinels and a sanctuary for birds. Then we have winter flowering shrubs, my Forsythia is a golden blast of colour that makes by itsnotmyfault
