Wind damage to your plants..
did find some discoloured leaves on my outdoor tomatoes - could this be the cold winds? or could it be the beginnings of blight? I'd have thought it was too cold for blight yet. And yes, I wondered what planet Monty was on last night. He referred back by Don my Ton

Potatoes (again-sorry!)

Blight is prevalent: http://apps.rhs.org.uk/advicesearch/profile.aspx?pid=96 If, so the RHS link above also gives some alternative hedging plants which you might want to consider using instead. Cheers - Bob (another festive forum name change!) Spring by Bill Mansfield

Hedge or border
. Works very well if slow growing. When it grows, the curve of solid Buxus looks great. It grows faster in full sun and slower with more shade. I would not avoid using Buxus just in case it might get blight! We do not stop growing tatties in case of blight by Bill Mansfield

Problems with newly planted topiary box hedge.
it on the 'problem page'. However, I now understand you have planted a small box hedge and the leaves on one plant have turned 'copper brown'. Now this could posibly  be 'box blight' and in the interest of preserving the rest, should be dug up & burned. Google 'box by Pauly D

Tomatoes
, heavy with fruit but again, for the third year running, plagued with blight. It is so depressing. Before all this I grew wonderful tomatoes each year which yielded so much fruit that I had to preserve them in olive oil for the winter. I don't know what I by John Reynolds

.but if its your first attempt wait  awhile till  spring but you need a potato expert.I did some in a bag this year and that too was a poor result . I've been googling potatoes a lot recently (checking on blight symptoms), and came across a couple of articles by flowergirl4
