Attract blue tits
Can anyone tell me which plants or trees will attract blue tits to my garden? They seem to be fond of any well planted area, they like plenty of available cover so don't feel exposed and threatened, though any feeding area should have good by Billy C

shade loving ground cover
and purple flowers about now.  It can be cut back after flowering and will then produce fresh new foliage.  Brunnera fomrs also like shade and have speckled, spoldged or crazed sliver variegations on the leaves and blue flowers like forget-me-nots.  dropetris by Tigger Tom

Where have all the birds gone?
and some blue tits, all the others have more or less gone.  There is still the occasional goldfinch or chaffinch, but nothing like the numbers of last year or earlier this year.  Any ideas on why they might have left?  Is it normal at this time of year? Any by Lunarz

Scented flowers
I've been doing lots of research on scented flowers recently, as I'd like to plant more in my garden. I already have lots of fragrant, winter-flowering plants – viburnum, winter honeysuckle, sarcococca etc – but want more scented spring and summer by David Hurrion
