It's made my day......
, I love blues, mauves and lilac colours.  I grow more veggies and fruit than flowers but hope to set up a cutting flower bed on my lottie.   Verdun I am a great hankerer for nearly any plant I dont have. Its an addiction, but not as bad for me as some by Verdun

Planting under bamboo

Growing Eryngium
Hi I am thinking about growing some Eryngium, like Blue sea holly. I have a south facing garden and would like to place them in a border. Has anyone else grown these and what were your experinces of the height and width? I was inspired by seeing by bcosergio

Talkback: Spring is on the way

Update new plants
I bought anemone wild swan, astrantia jumble hole and some brand new echinaceas this year. All are floweriing their little socks off. I recommend them all. Today, it is 20 o here, total blue sky and warm sunshine. No wonder the plants are happy by Christopher2

jasmine for walls and fences, winter honeysickle, sarcoccoca, etc Domt forget foliage .....pittosporums Tom thumb gives wonderful shiny black foliage in winter as does the black "grass" ophiopogon nigrescens.  There are grasses to provide yellow, blue, red by Andrew Rothwell

shredded pansies
Hi all, I think I know the answer to this but my pansies are looking all torn and shredded, this has happened over the past week they are all in flower and looking healthy but it looks like they are being attacked by something. Any ideas by discodave

Best and mt favourite hardy geranium and why......
I grow jolly Bee for it's glorious blue flowers that go on and on and on. I grow Elke for its sheer beauty and distinctive flower. Margaret Wilson for her lovely grey foliage and a variety called....I think....black beauty which has purple red by Verdun

Small front garden planting
the diff. .Bx I would stick with glaucous blue or grey foliage to pick up the slate so lavenders which just need pruning once the flowers fade and/or dwarf conifers such as Juniperus Blue Carpet, Juniperus Blue Star. Plants with white flowers would also by Yvonne Lloyd

Suggestions please
....lovely green white leaves and sky blue flowers right now....geranium ann folkard, leaves have a bright yellowish cast and it has brilliant magenta flowers all summer. i would also plant geranium russel pritchard which has pink flowers seemingly forever and its by Sarahlou67
