Talkback: Potato blight and Bordeaux Mixture
I've used Bordeaux mixture but not Dithane simply because GO reluctantly recommend it as the fungicide of last resort. I'm never happy about using it though.I've also tried Sarpo Mira and Axona varieties - they're phenomenonly resistant to blight by Green Horn

potato blight
We have an outbreak of potato blight at the allotment.  If we spoary with bordeaux mixture now and it rains in a couple of days - wouold we need to spray again after bearing in mind that the mixture might have had time to dry on the plants by then by carol ashton

dry when watering, give plenty of air movement and you could look in one of the garden centres for a spray, we would have used Bordeaux mixture years ago I have no idea what H&S want us to use in its place.You could try gently wiping the leaves with a by Mother Goose2

peach leaf curl
My nectarine has peach leaf curl. Is it too late in the season to spray with bordeaux mixture? The next time to spray it is just before leaf fall. In the meantime, clear up the infected leaves to limit spread next year. In spring, spray in late by Chez moi

15 years old and has always been healthy. i would like to know if it is a disease and what is it also how could i help the poor thing. many thanks   Sounds like bacterial canker - it'll need some pruning out followed by spraying with Bordeaux mixture by kirstydun

Non chemical solution for blight?
blight, but since it is the same virus that cauces it ,it may be the answer .you may need to do more reserch . Thanks for the help anything is worth a try Not sure what you mean by chemical free, Lynne? Copper sulphate is the same as Bordeaux mixture by Lynne Currie

Potato blight soil
potatoes in it last year. I have sprayed them twice with Bordeaux Mixture, and there's very little sign of blight yet despite the weather - less than in previous years when I was careful to rotate the crops. This year's potatoes, which are in blight by Pondman
