coming true if you save your own seed and is cross-breeding them difficult? I had a hosta self set seedling which I dug up and put in a small pot over winter it sprouted up this year and it looks just like one of my giant ones, this is the first one by lorrie-koolkats

and are delighted to see one, especially if it is friendly or amusing to watch. Greys fulfil this need for many people. Reds have done this in the past only on a very limited scale and even if all the greys were eliminated would take over a century to breed back by Mike B

their cat loo!! This spring, the farmers up the road ripped out their hedgerows which were replaced with barbed wire. This during the breeding season which is illegal, but do they care? Hell no - they do just what they want, and my garden birds are severely by Ruth Varley

't kill them! A pair of fairly large tweezers and a big pot of salty water works for me (no yukky bits or innards lying about) and they all eventualy end up down the roadside drain Must say they seem to breed faster than I catch them Hedgehogs are good by diggingdoris

that she doesn't go hungry.  The thing to do is to get them early on in spring before the adluts can breed and as the eggs are hatching.  Sprinkle pellets on an easily memorable date such as Valentine's Day and then again every couple of weeks.  That should by Lorraine Sharp

personal experience on composting
saw a pink worm I picked it up and through it in compost with everthing else. that was when had one bin, now they breed prolicly and in the bin that is 'cooking' I am finding handfuls of them on the lid so I just scoop them into the current bin. I by Sam Glendinning

long time member of the RSPB and being virtually housebound, enjoy birdwatching from my window. Cat owners feed their pets, but wild birds rely on me! winter/breeding time especially. So being surrounded by many,many neighbourhood cats I'm distressed by Digusted of Hampshire

to work,,more dogs do more damaged to children/adults cull some dog breeds....and ban owners who allow there dogs to attack and be aggressive. So you believe everything you read in the papers then? It's the silly season. Newspapers are looking for a bit by ruffled_feathers
