stones and logs at the end of August to September. They spend the the winter there and then emerge once again in February - March for the breeding season in April - May.Hope I haven't destroyed my little Newt colony :( i have newts in my pond to [palmate by sarahs pondlife

Slugs and snails
the Arion lusitanicus, which have many common names, among them murderslug, Spanish slug, and others. It is invasive and prolific, breeding very rapidly and eating everything in sight - even each other. Some people snip them in half, then cover the carcass by Harry Sinclair

Midges/mosquito help!!!
midges do not leave any water in buckets or pots as they breed in still water even in water butts.up turn pots and saucers when not in use and make sure the water butt has a tight lid . 'Skin so soft' ,soft and fresh dry  body spray from Avon works! Just by Luubear

Hellebore - Something Lovely in The Middle of Winter

I've bought a Kangeroo Paws plant- but know nothing about them,for outside?
up to sun and heat there has been a lot of work done breeding smaller very attractively flowered plants for the garden. If this is what you have then pot cultivation should be relatively easy. I don't think they would survive outside in the UK winter by lucky3
