Welcome to the problem solving forum
from brown rot and we rarely get to eat any.  I was told it was too dry  so in went loads of ash and compsost and leaf mould......if anything the problem is worse now, even the leaves had brown patches on them this year.   I clear up and burn all by Daniel Haynes

to look under the amount of different slugs there are I didn't get rid of the small black ones just the brown with orange edge ones. You will also be amazed the large chunks eaten of the skin by that type.try it its a cheap way which is armless to wildlife by lorrie-koolkats

weeks were much better at double that amount. Plenty of water and liquid feed did the trick. My potatoes looked great on Saturday but come Sunday every leaf on every plant was covered with brown patches. As this is my first year at planting potatoes can by happymarion

Talkback: How to take lavender cuttings

. Unfortunately it has rotted off! I bought a forcer and placed it on top of the crown as soon as buds appeared in the ground, got a few stems and that was it. What could have caused this? Should i have left it a year before picking? Or shouldn't i have forced by Anonymous

're in those green potato bags so it's difficult to just pull some soil away to see what's going on. Should I just bite the bullet and empty the bag to see what I've got? And if all the stems died on any one particular plant, would the (possible) tubers rot by Charles Johnston

shade loving ground cover
ferns are god in shade as are hostas which will give floiage colour and variegations and tall spikes of white, lilac or purple flowers. All will benefit from having plenty of good garden compost or well rotted manure worked into the soil before planting by Tigger Tom

first bin and understand that compost should be ready or start to be ready about 6 months after first starting which is about now. So today I opened the bottom hatch and there seemed to be a layer of brown mixture on the bottom, but a lot of uncomposted by Stuart Dupree
