Cucumber plants
the soil-check that out Ok thank you will do I had 4 plants doing well. After re potting the 4, one has neck rot. If this is the problem, first the leaves go limp, I thought frost had got to it but then the stem started to go brown. Watering from the bottom by Yvonne Miller

Tomato rot?
Hi there, Its my first time growing tomatoes in the greenhouse. Almost all the tomatoes on the lowest trusses have some kind of rot / infection. See pic below  I'd love to know what's wrong how to avoid it next year Can I compost them by Jammy2

Hostas
I have lots of hostas, some in pots and others in the ground. They have all started to die back now so do I cut them back or leave them to their own devices? I would leave them.  The leaves rot away very quickly and will feed the plant. One of my by tattianna

pathetic cucumbers
hi i bought female only cucumber plants this year, neednt worry about taking off male flowers! i have loads of cucumbers but for the last 3/4 weeks they have been 2 inches long and pencil thin! no growth whatsoever and some now rotting off. what am by jo taylor2

Phormium Chocolate Dream has just gone through its first winter and up until the UK snow this year, it seemed fine. It wasn't flattened at all, but its leaves are now yellowing, with little bits of browning. I really think the leaves are lost by Wintersong

onion sets
Hello i planted onion sets in a raised border last month but i think i have a problem the leaves are about 6 inches high and dark green but the bulbs have changed colour to dark brown and soft...Is this natural or is it soft rot the bulbs dont seem by kevin merriman

Thanks soooo much for the advice here on tomatoes. we have suffered for the last three years with the growing of tomatoes. At the moment we have plants that have Blossom End Rot and also Leaf Mould. At least now we can get it right for next year by tenerifetel

....however...... Now they are dying. The leaves are turning brown and curling over. Having looked on the Internet, they say it's because I have planted them out at that wrong time. Apparently you should plant them out in the autumn, they never said this on the plants by Buds_gardens2012

resulted in no flowering at all. Any leaves that were above the water level seemed fine but those in the water turned yellow, then brown and just seemed to rot away. The stems also seemed to have been shredded! Is this water lilly beetle or do I have a by James A-S

Photinia Red Robin (Photinia x fraseri)
at the bottom. and no leaves. I have given fish blood and bone feed every autumn and it’s not helping. as an experiment I have this week lifted 4 of the shrubs dug deep and wide holes and put 4 new plants in fresh well-rotted compost. the old shrubs I removed by DTI-Dave
