problem solving
I would like some advice on storing Narcissus bulbs. A customer of mine fills her tubs with daffodils, when they have finished flowering and died back I dig up and store them in her shed for the following Autumn. I shake of the soil and put them by torsi

Can I keep iris bulbs until the spring or should I plant them now?
My aunt has given me a lot of iris bulbs but it's a bit late for potting now (read somewhere that planting time is Aug/Sept.  Is it ok to keep these in a cool dark place (was thinking of the garden shed, wrapped in a paper bag) until the spring by emmarose

Hi - can anyone help please with the soil type for these bulbs. I plan to soak them for 24 hours before planting but into what? Should it be gritty, JI no 3, leaf mould or just ordinary compost? I am moving and just bought some half price bulbs by roxy2
