Blue Butterfly
I would like to know the name of this small butterfly seen yesterday and what it would feed on? Small blue butterfly is probably a Holly Blue. it feeds on Holly flowers and forgetme nots and lays its eggs on Ivy, Holly, and brambles which by jaries

Butterflies
I managed to snap this Butterfly at a garden centre in Wiltshire. I fully expected it to fly off before I took my snap, but thankfully it stayed put. I think it's a really good image " Who's watching Who "? I hope you like it. I like by ROBIN ROWLES

Butterflies
This year I have had 3 long caterpillars.  About 1.5 inch long.  Not sure if these are  going to turn into butterflies or not? Probably. Can you describe them? And what plants did you see them on? One was on a rose bush and one was on a geranium by Kitty4

Nettles for Butterflies
I was watching the butterflies at Hampton COurt last night and was reminded about how nettles are so vital to butterflies.  I love butteflies but hate nettles (horrible stingy itchy things!!)  It did occur to me though that I do love the flowers by Green P

Butterfly watch?

Our buddleja has proved very popular with butterflies in the past few days - think they were Peacocks - very attractive. While not teeming, there were at least 5 or 6 at any one time. It's our garden's first full year, so not sure if this is a by John Waters
