dahlias for cut flowers
does anyone no some good dahlias to grow for cut flowers i have got 11 at the at the moment and would love to grow more. the ones i have got are  pinelands princess,mels orange marmalade,mero star,chocolate and candy,dimond jubilee,cactus mixed by cody smith

's that haven't come back from last year? Earwigs and slugs can both be a problem as they both like the succulent leaves. I've had mixed results with mine this year. One pot of Bishop of Llandaff are growing very well, while another of Waltzing Matilda perished by lisa roberts

The One Show - Britain's Largest Potted Plant
finally got rid of the original christmas cactus my mother gave to me last year it was so woody that i just took cuttings of it to start it again it was at least 40years old. Pity!! I often see 50 year old money plants (Jade) being auctioned on ebay by Emma H

, if it holds moisture they will rot. The mix I have detailed sounds madness, and when you water them, it is alarming to see how much seems to flow straight through! But remember, the cactus itself holds all the water it needs, provided you have the correct soil by Alan4711

and nectarines also stay in the ground year after year without any harm coming to them. Yes,gaslest, many alpines are succulents. They have evolved that way to conserve moisture which is unavailable to them when it is frozen as ice or snow, but they do contain by happymarion

instead of a lovely succulent crop. I know that this isn't quite the same thing but this Summer I'd some small (fingernail size and smaller), white.....looked like cotton wool, on the joints of branches and knotches of our 'Japanese acer', which is in a by kaycurtis

can you identify this very mysterious plant?
. The only plant that I know you can cut off the thick watery leaves to rub on skin conditions is 'Aloe vera' but that's a succulent plant not a bulb. What did the plant look like? Difficult to describe. Best to search for images under Aloe vera plant. Lots by mystery plant
