Talkback: No fly zone
and early moth. These are not all closely related species, so it seems that flightlessness has evolved several times across the Lepidoptera. These caterpillars have been stripping the roses in the gardens where I work. I was pleased to see them at first by Frieda

Violas attacked.
unaffected. Sparrows? My tomatoes seem to be suffering like your violas - ragged leaves, holes etc. Can't see any caterpillars...hoping it's not vine weevil! I also don't like spraying chemicals unless completely unavoidable - I make up my own garlic spray by Cetti

Dahlias
Hi all.  I have a dilemma on my hands.  My dahlias are being savaged by a mysterious pest. It is not slugs, I've checked for caterpillars and cannot find any, does anyone know what it could be?  Holes are being left in the leaves, some even savaged by mdw84
