Talkback: Goldfinches, cats and children
Sparrowhawks, Rooks & Crows.Sadly I have a problem with neighbours cats, they seem to think I feed the birds for their bellies. I was advised to try moth balls to keep the cats away, and one in particular is very brazen, he is not scared of my sons two Japanese by Roy McFarland

Cat/Bird and Wildlife friendly garden
I have a really tiny garden, just 32ft in length and 18ft wide...I currently feed the birds in the garden as one of my cats goes out on a lead and the other has restricted access.  I want to cat proof my garden but its very difficult as we have by Suzanne4

nepeta.how to deter cats
I had to take out a recently purchased nepeta from my garden as the local cats were going mental for it. Could I replant the catmint next to stinking iris to deter the vermin? It's not called catnip for nothing! If you don't like "vermin", don by cotty1000

Talkback: Frogs, frogspawn, slugs and cats

Keeping Cats off My Veg Patch
Can anyone tell me how keep cats from digging up my veg patch. As soon as you dig the earth over a cat has been in there, yuck! Now get me wrong, I like the furry purries but I just get fed up with them digging up my garden all the time.  Didn by donutsmrs

Cats have killed all my frogs
I have a small garden with a little wildlife  pond which has always had frogs in it. The neighbours cats started killing off the frogs so i put mess over the pond area to deter them but morning i go out to find the whole pond pulled to pieces muddy by JosieB2

nepeta(cat mint) from seed
Ive grown cat mint from seed and although its growing well should i nip it out to encourage the plants to thicken up? I nip out a couple of the shoots, so that it flowers longer and it does bush out a bit more. I agree - would definetely nip out by weejenny
