photinia red robin
I,ve 4 or 5 large (6ft) photinia red robin shrubs, all are looking beautiful with their red/ green foliage apart from one,the leaves are all droopy and thinning out. Any answers out there ? There was a strong smell of cats wee there but I can.t see by rammstein

Very underweight hedgehog found on doorstep
in the conservatory which is also where I winter the guinea pigs. I've provided chicken cat food, both dry and wet food. I will contact rescue centre tomorrow to see if they can take him. I do have a spare guinea pig hutch in the garage and wonder if that may by Tim Burr

Mice
found them when i turned it out. It was like a scene from alien, all these tiny baby mice crawling around i felt quite sick. Luckily i have a cat that is a good hunter and pointed him in the right direction. If it happens again i will lock the cat flap by Heidi3

Thoughts on Nesting Boxes
of creeper and fire water pistols at the cats and magpies  I would love to have nesting boxes of some description.  Having had two cats (including a very proficient hunter) I have not been able to in the past.  However, we lost our 'hunter' last year and I by daydaisy

Jeyes fluid uses
these old ideas seem much more sensible than the use of modern chemicals.   I'd be interested in their anti-vine weevil use as well - don't want to kill the plant too...... I've used it as an anti-cat preparation - dried a few teabags & dunked them in neat by Gardening Grandma

tulips losing their heads
?  definetely birds. You will often see eaten yellow crocuses whilst the purple ones are left untouched Pigeons fighting/mating (hard to tell the difference!) around here. Do you have any cats in the garden?   One of my neighbours cats has a penchant for tulips by bcosergio

Compost Heap
hamsters, guinea pigs and rabbits and ive always put the stuff in the compost bin. Mix it well in with all the green compost. Never had any rats. I  have 3 cats which bring in plenty of mice that come from the lady next door who has chickens. Lennie is a by Trish3
