Drastic pruning of a cherry tree

Poor little weeping minature cherry tree
.  You have scared me now, as we have 2 miniature cherry trees in the garden. Some distance away admittedly. Will it attack a miniature weeping willow please, as that is the nearest to the affected site, and will it spread through bark under by greenmaid

It sounds like bacterial canker. Full description and treatment options here. Oh no - I've noticed holes in the leaves of my young cherry tree too.  Been out to have a look at the trunk but can't see any oozing or dead patches.  Could there be any by Mustang Sally

Hi, I have a cherry tree (Lapin) on Gisela 5 rootstock as I wanted to have a small tree, does anyone know if it would be suitable for fan training please, or would I have to have one on a larger rootstock? Many thanks by roxy2

I have 7 espalier fruit trees (3 apple, 2 pear 1 kent cob nut and 1 cherry tree) all planted about 10/11 years ago from a nursery. All but one gives me ample of fruit and that is the Cherry tree. I get plenty of blossom and plenty of fruit appear by elaine jenkins

Cherry tree.
Hi there, Can anyone advise me on my cherry tree.  I am sure it has blossomed around this time of year in the past.  This year...nothing at all.  It appears to have buds all over the tree, but nothing appears to be happening.  Is it dead? Hey, we by lecatsmother

Hello, I planted a Tesco (not self-fertile) White Heart cherry tree last year & it has over a dozen flowers & there are at least another 2 dozen buds.  Should I allow it to fruit this year or should I remove all the flowers & buds or maybe only by waxlow
