.... because my wife is living with me in the uk,i wanted to make a small memorial garden,in our garden. her mothers name was VERA, so i was wondering if anyone knew of which plants,were of this name....?  i was hoping maybe for roses,or minature roses by scott tyldesley

Choosing plant for birds
(80ltr. kitchen bin).  If possible it would be evergreen, produce berries and be hardy. I'm also a beginner when it comes to "permanent" plants as I tend to grow mainly annuals due to space. I was looking online and these plants caught my eye but I don by John Bradshaw

Talkback: Choosing plants for autumn colour
and the berries are edible as well. Some plants just go on giving.The pink leaves of Davidii involucra are lovely in the autumn and you have the handkerchiefs in May.My birds brought a spindle tree for free to my garden and it is covered with its lovely pink by happymarion

Shade loving plants
I have a shady area underneath my bamboo, for which I would like some planting.  However, I don't want the same old boring choices that books and magazines come up with.  Is there anything of interest I can choose?  Ideally I would like something by sfspencer

Shrub ChoiceHelp

advice on types
Hi, has anyone got anny advice on which is best (esp fragrance) mock orange to choose ? I don't want too large,looked at belle etoile and snowbelle online. Also am stuck choosing betwen 2 climbing roses, st swithun and generous gardener, I have 2 by Louise Stevenson

frost. Next time you choose such a plant, perhaps it may be wise to do some research first. I hope your garden is large, this plant will grow very big indeed.  The leaf stalks will be over your head. by pash2
