i have used potato bags to sow my seed potatoes for 4years now and never till this year had problems with blight.what i want to know is is it safe to use the same bags\containers for next years crop or advisable to clean them out. by ellios

I can get lots of pure clean wood ash.can i use it on my roses? If so how and are there any other uses ? I use it on the veg garden,good stuff. I've got a wood burning stove, and tend to add the ash to the compost bin. by dean70

Hi I have a flymo which is in need of a good clean.  There is a build up of debri under underneath and wondered what the experts use on this forum  to help with the cleaning.  I have looked at Flymo's product but is seem expensive for what it is.  I by Chris9

Wildlife Pond
I have just created a wildlife pond in my garden  -1.5m x 1m (preformed pond) with the intention of attracting more wildlife into my garden.  I am looking for some advice on plants to put in my pond to keep the water clean that are not too invasive by John mcleod

lilly bulbs in containers
I have had some lilly in containers, for 5 years, i want remove them clean the containers, and change the soil,what is the best time to do this, now or spring before they start to grow If they have died back completely then it is safe to do it now by graham cosgrove

I have a woodlouse nursery in my garden, beneath a large terracotta saucer which I use as a wildlife drinking water container/bird bath.When I lift the saucer to clean it, I am always delighted to see woodlice of varying sizes scurrying away to hide. by collie_lady
