Ants in the lawn
. When an ant finds food it returns to the nest to tell the rest of the colony where to go and after eating they clean themselves and each other scrupulously. Granted, ants in the kitchen is not a great situation but if you remove their source of food by using by celia2

Buddleia turning yellow

Petrol lawn mower
for the last  5-6 yrs - I change the oil regularly and clean the air filter too. I think I got it from B n Q where I could have a good fiddle with all aspects of the machine before I then went about looking for the best price... happy shopping. My Atco with a 3 by wildpatch

what can i use instead of plastic pots
pots and cream plastic pots to bring on plants and seeds. Hi Lavender Lady Don't forget to put holes in the plastic pots. You can do it with a hot carving fork held over the gas burner. I haven't tried electric. You must clean the fork while is still by Lavender Lady

Battening down the hatches
more even temperature in there. Once the last border is cleared, hopefully this next week? I can curl up with seed catalogues & my new gardening books, plus a pad & pen & make plans for next season! Oh & this yr sometime I need to clean out by Dovefromabove

Pride before a fall!
once a week on a Saturday morning as I'm cleaning up and it does get a bit of condenstion in there when we are cooking, the kitchen leads straight on to it with no door so there's always a bit of steam build up! Burghill ~ the pod has started splitting by Moonlit Hare

Cats causing problems
and cost of there free roaming animals they let lose ( the majority  anyway) on there neighbors, they should be ashamed of themselves and the truth is they know they are a nuisance and the owners are full of what i used to clean up after there muts by Alan4711
