Bird Boxes
I would like to put up a bluetit box and a sparrow box set.   Must they be emptied out and cleaned regularly?  I have good places to site one of each but would have to get someone to put them up, and then I wouldn't be able to reach them by staffsmags

Anyone used Jeyes Fluid?
I have inherited several lovely outside pots from a friend, but they really need a good clean out! I was going to use just hot soapy water but she suggested buying some Jeyes Fluid to use - I wasn't even sure they still made it! Has anyone else used by Millie Young

camelia
insect on the underside of the leaves - these excrete honeydew, on which fungus grows. Kill the scale insect by spraying with Provado Ultimate Bug Killer, wait a couple of weeks and you can wash the leaves clean. by russell barnett

I am looking after a hampster and wondered if the sawdust+ bedding + food remains which I bag up when cleaning out the cage, could be put on the compost heap ( which is a black bin with a lid ) or might the waste food(dry) encourage rats? Ive had by Trish3

cannas in winter
did Monty say to lift cannas and keep moist or to let them dry out overwinter?  do I leave them in their soil or clean off? Do not let them dry out- certainly not to the extent as you would for dahlias-they need a bit of moisture to keep them going by sally 7
