Sooty mould
Hello, this is my first post on here. I have a lemon tree in the greenhouse and it's covered in sooty mould. I've cleaned all the leaves once, sprayed it with a spray suggested by my local garden centre, but it's back again. Does anyone have any by snowy43

Static-electrical winowing
I'm spending quite a bit of time cleaning seeds for sowing next year. I've been using the two recommended methods of sieving and winnowing. I've also been using static electricity to separate the chaff. I use a large plastic soup or yogurt pot. You by Dinah

Talkback: Shed clearance
our sheddies would love to see a few pictures of your shed over at http://www.readersheds.co.uk once you have cleaned it up.! Having good storage is one key element to keeping the shed tidy. I just got hold of some old coffee tins from the office by Rosalind

Talkback: Algae in the garden
/decking clear of moss and slime for months. vinegar and washing up liquid also works i've been told. I always laugh at my neighbours who spend hours and loads of water spraying their drives and patios to clean them. How ridiculous when all you need by matt

CUTTING BACK CLIMBERS
re-attach them. Where you have to prune, make clean cuts just above leaf nodes to encourage new growth and reduce die back.   Give everything a feed of tomato food which is low in nitrogen but high in potassium which will encourage new flowers by lindapalmara

Make do and mend coldframes...ideas?
if they have any polystyrene boxes.  They usually chuck them out at the end of the day and once thoroughly cleaned (the fish boxes need a good airing too) they make excellent cold-frames. Aitch I'm using the inside of our old dishwasher covering the top by Beltane

Water butt not filling
Koalagirl.  My water butt pipe is very slightly too low so it does overflow when it's full.  I am waiting for a dry spell to emply the butt so I can raise it very slightly where it sits.   Any ideas to clean the water butt? I opened it last week by Miche
