This info on cleavers is interesting as I keep getting this weed on my allotment.Do you have any info how to deal best with horsetail this is another pest I have. i usually get loads of this and now I know what it is I can do something about it by sheilabonney

easily. Never have we seen so much cleavers, goosegrass, johnny run by the hedge, sticky grass - as many names as there are.  I even found a piece up in the golden hop, about 8 foot high, never had that before.  Ir is certainly a very good year for it by christine morgan

which are usually unused over the winter too. i have a patch of grassland which is occupied by nettles, thistles, brambles and cleaver. How and when do i clear this so that any plug plants ( next year ) will survive ? by GlenG

Calling Mrs P - or anyone who can grow Verbena bonariensis from seed
seeding, they are worse than Cleavers. And to answer the OP (like I should have done in my first post )  I just used a seed tray scattered the seed over the surface of some compost, covered that with vermiculite and firmed it down. I left the tray in a by quercus_rubur

bushes not flower Ahard white crust has appeared on top of the compost on most of my indoor plants. I have tried taking the top half inch of compost and replacing it with fresh but it just comes back what do I need to do? Will I kill cleaver by hoeing by sarahbroome
