Broadcasting poppy seeds into the border
mum calls it a mess but i say its a cottage garden. Each to his own i guess I did this a couple of weeks ago but I think only one or two have germinated. Not sure if it was due to the bad weather or the seeds, which came from a seed swap and collected by Tim Burr

after freezing every thing i can for the winter last year i noticed six black runner bean seeds in the seed i saved from the year before, i planted them and have started collecting the seed this year,the bean is about 16 inches long and a good shape by Grannyanne

I too heard of these marvellous copper rings. But still these snails cannot be beaten, what about salt on the pot soil, would that work? I think this year must be 'the year of the snail'. Every morning I go out and collect between 5 and 18 by Tariq

still got the seed packet and does it state the variety ? The flowers do look an interesting colour.  The seeds were in one of those RHS  collected seed packs, I had lots of them flower in the first year as normal salvias this was the exception, I had by lovetogarden

Why Are My Potatoes Producing Tomatoes
. Very odd. Any ideas?  The are the fruit containing the seeds of the potato plant and they are poisonous - DO NOT EAT THEM. People new to potato growing are sometimes confused by the term 'seed potatoes'.  They are not the green fruit that you have seen by TheSloth

to propagate them this spring, maybe the seeds were too old, i maust go there this weekend to see them again and perhaps collect some fresh seed, only a few. would they be best put in soil at this time of year to over winter? I have just been given a Euonymus by happymarion
