Can anyone please tell me if I can use last year's concentrated barrel of comfrey liquid -  diluted of course - on this years crop of fruit and veg. Well I've used some of my last years Nettle fertiliser and nothing bad has happened to my plants. by Lucy Locket

been neglected for several years.   Whilst I was surveying the site yesterday I noticed the previous holder had a row of comfrey growing at the back.  I think I read somewhere that it is supposed to be good for soil conditioning.  Can anyone please tell by Madeleine51

I made some comfrey liquid last year or maybe the year before and was wondering if it is okay to use it this year, does anyone know how long it lasts ??? I make a large batch every couple of years and store it in 2 litre plastic bottles.  As far by Bushman

Forgive me if there's already a thread on this but I can't find anything. Last year I made litres of nettle juice with just a bit of comfrey in and then I realised it was nitrogen-rich so worried that it wasn't what I needed for flowers and fruit by HyppyByker

I can also recommend using rhubarb leaves either on their own or in with comfrey leaves to make an excellent natural and free fertilizer - again the smell is horrendous and almost makes me retch but the effect on plants is remarkable. The rhubarb by Simonboo

by just chopping up.. i am sure it is not comfrey ans doesnt grow tall enough oh. where the picture go.. here it is..   Looks like comfrey to me. There are different varieties, this is one of the smaller more ornamental ones. It could be a Pulmonaria by gardeningfantic
