Feathers in Compost?
Hi All, I have a couple of feather pillows that are coming to the end of their useful life. If I don't do it all at once, can I add the feathers slowly to the compost heap? You could, but I would imagine they would take a very long time to decompose by Sandra 2

What compost?
We've got some Miracle Gro compost in use at the moment, as well as some miracle gro seeding compost. What does everyone else recommend? There have been discussions on what to avoid http://www.gardenersworld.com/forum/problem-solving/bandq-mpurpose-compost by Huntertony

advice on seed compost
using B and Q's Verve compost and have been impressed with it  - for seedlings. Which is amazing as the stuff is awful to handle, full of bits of wood and lumps, you wouldn't think it was going to be any good but I seem to have got 100 percent by gillybean
