are these garden pests
can someone please help! I have a large container which i use as my herb garden, but have recently noticed worm like creatures poking out of the soil.  I thought at first one was an old coil spring from a pen,sort of browny in colour,  long by mimms

Spring Bulbs
the containers for vegetables, consider buying another set.    I have bulbs in pots, which I tuck away at the bottom of the garden and leave until the following year, using another set of containers in their place.   Some pots I empty out and carefully plant by Jante

Fiberglass/ resin planters
I recently visited Kew Gardens orchid exhibition and saw these beautiful containers.  Does anyone know where these or similar brightly coloured containers can be bought from.  I did contact Kew's Garden Development Unit, but as yet I've not received by Starrynight

Growing potatoes in pots
I'm new to all this gardening, but I've got a lovely sun soaked patio and I'd like to grow some veg, particularly potatoes. It'll have to be in pots, any advice on when to plant potatoes and in what? Any help would be VERY much appreciated. When you by 222222222

White leaves on peppermint plant
Hello, I'm a novice container gardener with a 30cm diameter pot of (thriving!) moroccan peppermint on my patio, however, I've noticed recently that some of the leaves are white (or very very pale yellow) and some of the green leaves have small by Phie'sboots

Used Compost?
Whats the best thing to do with used compost from pots and seed trays? Compost it, throw it onto the garden, re-use it to fill the bottom of large containers/pots and top the rest with fresh, bottom of hanging baskets. Just a few ideas - I'm sure by tom hewer

New gardener - please help!!

Which shrub to plant in this situation...?
would be what kind of hardy, evergreen, flowering shrub would grow well in this size container and position? Ideally I could leave the container in position during the winter months too. I am a novice gardener (but trying to learn!) and would appreciate by Mrs W
