for containers, as you say containers can easily look sparse and that is why the more experienced gardeners go down the traditional route of bedding plants. by Supernoodle

Growing veg with little space
that will grow in a container - we are talking here of 45cm wide, also carrots, potatoes, beetroot (attractive with their leaves) In a sunny spot you can grow sweet pepper and chille, again a good sized container.  Years ago in a much smaller garden, I used by laarobbins

Talkback: Rose leaf rolling sawfly
This feature really helpful, I did find these nasty little critters on one of my roses, I killed them, hoping now that I managed to get all of them. We had a lot of these sawflies dancing in groups in the garden last spring. We didn't know what by kaycurtis

Hi, I am about buying seed of ANGELICA URSINA . But I read that it contain furocoumarins, which increase skin sensitivity to sunlight and may cause dermatitis.   is anybody of you have this plant in the garden?   Several of that family do, I was got by agnesik12

and now have several in smaller pots which have not done as well a the larger container. I am thinking of planting these out, in my sandy south garden. Will they take years to establish in the ground before they flower? Or should I just put them together by lorrie-koolkats

Botrytis on my lilies
I save my lilies or should I just get rid?  I do have lilies in another part of the garden that don't seem to be affected and I don't want it to spread. The affected lilies are in a large container - do I need to get rid of all the compost? Thanks by lisajpickering

Pruning a rosa warm welcome 'Chewizz' when moving to a pot.

Compost bin/cold frame
I have a very small garden, but still grow flowers and fruit and vegetables in one raised bed (8'x4') small borders and containers. But would like to produce my own compost, and make a small cold frame! Any ideas for sizes, materials and plans would by Terry Quinn
