frequenting my cottage garden here in Preston have diminished hugely over the last two years? This is the first I have heard of wax moths! What do they look like? If we could identify them we might be able to stop them before they do such dreadful damage. I by Greenwatch

Today's dilemma

April in Your Garden
It has been a stormy day here in the South East of England. I have not been able to do any gardening but I have had a gardening success story. I gave away some of my seeds to a women on freecycle, hopefully one more person converted to the joy by kate1123

trouble is we live on a beef farm and there is a huge shed next to our cottage so flies and midges and any other flying nasties end up around our garden so I just have to balance the amount of bites to the amount of time I have to spend in the garden by weejenny

dredged this idea up from...perhaps 1950s children's encyclopedia or maybe one of my daughters was ranting on about how shtooopid pigeons are. It's worth a try. The kids have a little play house in the garden. We called it owl cottage after my pathetic by suelynmo

Work in Progress
up most of the shrubs, keeping 3 roses and a hydranger. I grow lots of herbs, and keep the cottage garden character with hardy geraniums, pansies etc around the edges. I d love a bigger garden, but could nt cope with one the size of yours, and could by eddie jefferies

Why did you all start gardening?
high school, Art school and my part time job. I never really bothered about the garden until I fell ill 6 years ago next month. I had meningitis and it left me with ME. I spent two years in leg splints and crutches. At that time I had my own wee cottage by Busy-Lizzie
