Little Treasures
Today, I visited Touchwood garden in Clyne Valley Cottages, Killay, Swansea. It holds the nation's only two National Collections of aquilegia. I was charmed by the sheer eccentricity of the place and thought it might be worth passing by Gardening Grandma

Himalayan Balsam
or Impatiens Balfourii.The French use it as an old fashioned cottage garden plant. It is smaller and prettier, but it also seeds itself like mad. However, it's quite easy to pull up. Well, I think it goes in the same category as Russian Vine.   There are some by Paul N

Bournemouth Pleasure Gardens & Genealogy 1880's
it gives his address as Chine Cottage, Boscombe. I don't know if these addresses have any affiliation to the BPG or the Chine Gardens, i suspect the latter has. The only place i've managed to find called Chine Cottage now is in Derby road, Bournemouth by lovelylowlife

Gardening in the dark....
when it drops through my door. I do a bit online window shopping/research about what plants that I'm interested in. I have a little look around charity shops for any books, got the Geoff Hamilton Cottage Garden for £2. Doesn't quite qualify for when its by Woodgreen wonderboy

place, total bargain at £8!  Where is it going in my cottage garden?  I have no idea. And they do sprawl about. I had to get rid of mine, swamping too many other things and with relatively short (but pretty) flowering time. Will try them in and amongst by seaside oldie

Choisya and Myrtle Looking Poorly
Hi I have two Choisya Aztec Pearl in my back garden, and both are dropping lots of  leaves and looking poorly despite having buds.  I have only had the garden just over a year and don't remember them looking this bad last spring.  Could by Catherine Joyce

Hi all, Last year we moved into to a "tumble down" cottage so the auctioneer called it (after we bought it) !! Which has a 1/2 acre of garden/orchard with tree lines for borders and fields to all sides. The trees have ivy growing all over them which by Loopster
