overgrown rockery
I have a small overgrown rockery which is riddled with couch grass, it also has autumn flowering cyclamen and spring bulbs in. My plan would be to remove the cyclamen corms and bulbs and then use weed killer on the grass and replant in spring. Could by Gill13

ok first load of top soil what to do with it.
before you start planing what goes where I would rake out the soil and remove any and all couch grass roots and be careful as any breakages ,you will have new plants growing from the smallest stem then take out any large stones and large sticks ,then by blackest

New Lawn
was typing but I still think leave it for now Thanks, yep' leave until spring then. I'll just have to look the other way when I walk past it, for now! I have recently taken out a couple of metre square areas in my lawn...they were full of couch grass. I by Jonny Jonson

How to remove grass from established border
and as well as a large array of invasive weeds, the lawn has grown in over large areas. I don't want to dig as I will disturb the spring bulbs & perenials. Any suggestions on how I get rid of the grass? There used to be a couch grass weedkiller. It killed by Briggsy

/50 to the area. Resow with a shade tolerate grass seed. Note! Apply Sulphate of Iron periodically throughout the year. For a more radical approach try relaying area with a broad leaf meadow turf or even couch grass. Both of which seem to grow fairly well under by Typewriter

weed supressing membrane
such as couch could take a lot longer. Weed suppressing membrane is different. I have just checked  my own (in the shed!) and it does let some light through ( as well as moisture of course), which means the grass could take a lot longer to die, but I have by Jennifer Deegan

Bird feeders causing weeds?
We have a bird feeder station tucked into the corner of one of our beds. I fill this with peanuts, fat balls and BIRD SEED. In the surrounding area underneath a type of grass has started growing in the bed. I assumed it was dreaded couch grass by Surbiton_Margot

-sounds possible-I wonder how it would discriminate? Tried this one year, but the plants did not thrive, the couch grass choked them to death! If bindweed gave up that easily it wouldn't be so much of a problem.   It's 6 feet tall and Sarah says "not much by Jaytee2

Front garden very uninteresting
and, if I ever get on top of the couch grass will then plant a selection of shrubs and a few perennials using a colour scheme of red/orangs with odd bits of blue. There is a Queen Elizabeth rose(pink) but can't move that as the neighbours gave it me by Rosa carriola
