Best and worst

What's loving all this rain?
this month lots of slugs & snails plants soggy loads of couch grass garden a mess as too wet to work in it, fed up My carnivorous plants are loving the rain . I'm putting them out everyday and they're putting on loads of growth - 2 new traps on the venus fly by Leggi

and if you have couch grass leave it to decay for at least 2 years and then compost it Derek LavanderLois, Everything goes in my compost apart from the odd nasty weed, they go in the bin.As long as your compost gets plenty of heat, is it steaming warm by LavenderLois

shade loving ground cover
so good is the couch grass which has invaded this space and now needs careful pulling out along with the habitual nettle invasion I get every spring.  So glad not everyone collapses when I mention ground elder - it really is a good ground cover int he by Tigger Tom

to plant outside but the raised beds have not been tended for about three years and are full of bindweed, bramble and couch grass in clay soil - so i will approach with the no-dig (lasagne) method but i am waiting for it to rain.... ASs spring is here by lazygardner
