Willow Tree in need of a haircut.
the trunk and it's got dead branches at interviles. It leaves and flowers come out fine, I think it needs a tidy up.   But I don't want to kill it.  When should I prune it?  How hard can I cut it back, hard or light? Will it hurt it to cut it back? Thank you by Angelsflower

When to prune zebra grass?
the dead leaves and old flowering stems removed for 2 years and then they are cut right down. It seems to work for us. I cut my down to ground level as soon as we see new shoots showing. That's great, thanks for your help. I leave mine untill the bad cold by Rozzy

Talkback: How to take rose cuttings
give it a go. I'm sure there are old varieties which we might otherwise lose. I have also had inadvertent success with cut roses in a vase, usually when I've cut the rose flower at a stem junction. I find the cut end sometimes forms a callus by Trelou
