Night Scented Stock

runner roots white poplar

can be taken from now through to autumn. Gardeners often recommend taking them in autumn so as to overwinter them but as yours have survived winter in their original pots (I presume) you can start taking cuttings now. You can use the method in our by Gilda Foster

Catananche - how to propagate?
Hi I bought a lovely Catananche which is thriving in my clay bog garden, and would like to replicate it....I saw this is a good time of ear for doing cuttings, but didn't know if this was one of the plants you could take cuttings from, or whether I by Jontydoggle

Plastic Greenhouses
Does anyone else winter cuttings in a plastic greenhouse?  My garden is small and just big enough for a plastic greenhouse.  This time of year I line it out with horticultural fleece and keep my fingers crossed for the cuttings.  I have done by lavenderlass

Taking cuttings from unknown shrub
I have had to cut back a shrub in my mum's garden as her house is being sold and photographer needs a better view of the house for photos.  It flowers beautifully  - pink in summer but I don't know what it is...  I have taken some of the cuttings by inezhardie

thirds and protect from frosts in winter, if hardy varieties cut back in spring aand take cuttings when new growth is big enough I had a similar sized fuscia in a previous garden and decided to divide it into two so that I could have the same plant by Standen1
