To cut or not to cut

Save my lawn

Bay tree help
I have 2 bay trees at the front door for over a year. One is thriving the other one has recently started to lose its leaves and most are brown and crispy although when I cut into the stem it is still green. Is there any hope? Any bugs, creepy by H Foster

Diseased conifer
I have five corkscrew shaped conifers, all in various places in my garden. All of them to a degree have dry dead patches from the middle to the top. Can any body suggest what is wrong? They may have conifer aphid. Since there is no issue by Robin3

Digging problem
Hi guys, I have a large patch of ground that half of is covered in weeds and the other is full of shrubs. I have cut most of the shrubs away and now want to dig the whole lot up, however, the sandy soil I have seems to be rock hard and I can't get by Jo Stephenson

then spread the seed and compost evenly sow enough to repair the lawn and some the birds will take, to stop them put some mesh down over the patch or stretch cotton across some spikes round the patch. Let the new grass get a good hold before the first cut even by Jem

Honeysuckle
