Digging a vegetable Plot
especially made to grow various veggies in, potato bags, carrot and beetroot bags - pound shops are a good source of these, so are Wilko's - you'll find you don't need to dig the veggie patch at all, just keep the bags and pots on it!! I took over next doors by Jayn

Compost, they reckon !!!
for the manufacturers in the legislation on the use of peat.  For posh seeds and cuttings use a loam based compost.  For general potting and veg seed use your own and steralise it yourself using one of those garden waste burners (dustbins on legs), some scrap wood and a by marshmello

. Most of my garden hasn't seen sun in years, the lawn is just weeds. All I want to do is have a nice garden with some plants and maybe a veg patch but I don't have a chance with those bloody things and the chances are very slim that the owners will cut by despairing Donna

& weeks. they are soils that are made by local councils that are made from garden cuttings and waste that do same for your plants and do not smell the street out.So think of others and not just your self and buy soils that do not smell other out by frances

foot berberis has been eaten completely in the past 8 days :-( - pesky caterpillars!! they were small green ones, approx 1.5cm in length.I've had no option but to cut it down and dig it out - I really dont want the blighters back - now to look for a by Elaine Matthews

July in the garden!!
devine. Brittany = very wet! The leaves of our climbing New Dawn & Alfred Carrier roses are completly brown spotted & all the buds have turned brown too. Any experts out there to advise? Shall I cut all shoots back drastically & wait for new growth when by gardeningfantic
